CNN —What is one of the earliest and enduring subjects in art and media — as well as one of the most censored? And these are all themes explored broadly in the exhibition “Breasts,” a robust survey on display at the 60th Venice Bienniale. “It’s very intimate, so it’s perfect for international artists to develop a dialogue with each other,” she said in a video call. “Artists keep going back to it.”“It’s been a wonderful moment to contemplate my own relationship with the meaning of breasts,” she added of the show. New York CNN —Nike Air Force 1 and Nike Pegasus sneakers are everywhere. The Air Force 1 and Pegasus are staples of Nike’s sneaker lineup, and some of Nike’s oldest sneaker lines. The Air Force 1’s are known for their all-white design, while the Pegasus have large Nike swooshes on their mid-sole. “We are pulling back supply of classics such as the Air Force 1, and we’re reducing supply of Pegasus.”Nike’s moves could also make it harder for consumers to find traditional white Air Force 1 sneakers and Pegasus versions at shoe stores. Sneaker collectors focus on limited-edition and special collaboration lines — not mass market lines like Air Force 1, he said.

Among the most common email scams are phishing emails. Instead of sending out generic emails, the emails are addressed to an individual or a specific organization. Now, criminals anywhere in the world can use ChatGPT or FraudGPT to create convincing phishing and spear phishing emails. If I'm going to do 1,000 spear phishing emails or CEO fraud attacks, and I find one in 10 of them work, that could be millions of dollars," said Davies. It will take some time for companies to adjust, but for now, cybersecurity experts say generative AI is leading to a surge in very convincing financial scams.

Rap legend Jam Master Jay lay, mortally wounded, on his studio floor. But he said that in the ensuing days, wounded eyewitness and aide Uriel “Tony” Rincon told him that Jordan fired the gun and Washington was there. But neither they nor Allen told investigators initially, or indeed for years, that the eyewitnesses could identify either man. “The only person you saw with a gun in hand was you, right?” asked one of Jordan's lawyers, Mark DeMarco. The witness said he grabbed it “for protection" before running out to look for anyone who might be running away.

Three Tacoma police officers who were acquitted in the death of Manuel Ellis, a Black man who died in police custody in 2020 after pleading that he could not breathe, will each receive $500,000 for resigning from the Tacoma Police Department, according to documents released by the city on Tuesday. Two of the officers, Christopher Burbank, 38 and Matthew Collins, 40, both white, were acquitted last month on charges of second-degree murder. On Tuesday, Chief Avery L. Moore of the Tacoma Police Department said in a statement that the three officers had “voluntarily agreed” to resign from their positions. Though Mr. Collins violated the department’s 2020 policy on courtesy, all three men had otherwise been cleared of departmental violations based on policies at the time, Chief Moore said. “I acknowledge the detrimental impact of policing on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, extending both a personal and collective apology,” he said.

NEW YORK (AP) — Federal agents on Thursday raided the home of a top fundraiser and longtime confidante to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who abruptly ditched a planned White House meeting and flew home from Washington. The official declined to say whether Suggs was the target of an investigation. Vito Pitta, an attorney for the Adams campaign, said the mayor was not contacted as part of the inquiry. A spokesperson for City Hall declined to comment on the cancellations, deferring comment on the raid to the Adams campaign. In July, six people were charged in a straw donor conspiracy scheme to divert tens of thousands of dollars to Adams’ campaign.

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Eyewitness testimony Tuesday in the continuing trial three police officers, who are white and Asian American, charged with the 2020 death of Manuel Ellis, a Black man, starkly contradicted the picture the officers’ lawyers painted. The Pierce County Medical Examiner ruled the March 3, 2020, death of Ellis, 33, a homicide caused by lack of oxygen during physical restraint. Collins told Pierce County sheriff’s detectives that Ellis had attacked him by hurling him through the air to land on his back. Burbank was almost instantly on top of Ellis and swung up to three times to punch Ellis, according to Lowery. As Lowery left the scene, he said it appeared the officers had apprehended Ellis and were in control of him.

The story evokes images of George Floyd begging for his life under the knee of a Minneapolis officer in May 2020. It’s also the first trial under a 5-year-old Washington state law designed to make it easier to prosecute police who wrongfully use deadly force. After what witnesses said appeared to be a brief conversation between Ellis and the officers, Burbank, in the passenger seat, threw open his door, knocking Ellis down. A third officer, Timothy Rankine, arrived after Ellis was already handcuffed, face-down, and knelt on his upper back as Ellis pleaded for breath. Auburn police Officer Jeffrey Nelson was charged in the fatal shooting of Jesse Sarey in 2019 and is still awaiting trial.

A recent cyberattack by a notorious hacking group targeted MGM, disrupting its Las Vegas locations. The hack sheds light on the way cybersecurity can play out in the real world. Rival casino owner Caesars Entertainment also disclosed last week to federal regulators that it was hit by a cyberattack Sept. 7. But Moody also noted that MGM Resorts reports annual revenues above $14 billion, which would mean it averages at least $270 million in revenues per week. Experts said the attacks exposed critical cybersecurity weaknesses at MGM and Caesars and shattered an image of casino invulnerability.

Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden (R), leaves the J. Caleb Boggs Federal Building in Wilmington, Delaware, on July 26, 2023. A federal judge Wednesday denied a request by Hunter Biden to have his first court appearance on felony firearm charges be conducted via video. Judge Christopher Burke ordered Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, to appear in U.S. District Court in Wilmington, Delaware, in person for that hearing on Tuesday. The lawyer, Abbe Lowell, told the judge that Hunter Biden will plead not guilty to the charges during his appearance, "and there is no reason why he cannot utter those two words by video conference." Weiss replied that that argument was not enough to justify a virtual appearance.

Hunter Biden will plead not guilty during his initial court appearance for three federal felony gun charges, his attorney said Tuesday as he denied that the son of President Joe Biden is asking for "special treatment" at his first court appearance in the case. Hunter's lawyer Abbe Lowell revealed that planned plea as he asked a judge to hold the court appearance by video conference instead of in person at U.S. District Court in Wilmington, Delaware. The court appearance has not yet been scheduled. Lowell wrote in Tuesday's letter that Biden was "not seeking any special treatment" by requesting the video conference for his first appearance in court on the charges. Lowell's letter called prosecutors' opposition "puzzling," arguing that he was making a "common-sense request in seeking a video appearance.

CNN —President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, plans to plead not guilty to federal gun charges, he said in a court filing Tuesday. He is also asking for his initial court appearance to be held remotely. In a letter to Magistrate Judge Christopher Burke, attorney Abbe Lowell said Hunter Biden will plead not guilty to the three felony gun charges relating his possession of a revolver in 2018 whether the appearance is held over video or in person. Hunter Biden was previously fingerprinted and had his mug shot taken when he was in court in July when his plea deal collapsed. Because it was in federal court, the photo was not made public.

James L. Buckley, a conservative recruit from Connecticut who invaded the New York strongholds of Democrats and liberal Republicans in 1970 and against the odds won a United States Senate seat on the Conservative Party line, died early Friday in Washington. His death, in Sibley Memorial Hospital, resulted from complications of a fall, according to his nephew Christopher Buckley, the author and political satirist. With his improbable victory, Mr. Buckley became the first third-party candidate to land a seat in the United States Senate since Robert M. LaFollette Jr. of Wisconsin was elected on the Progressive ticket in 1940. In 1985, President Reagan named him to the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Mr. Buckley served as a federal judge for 15 years, the last four as a semiretired senior judge.

Now the digital extortionists involved, a group named "cl0p", have become increasingly aggressive about thrusting their data into the public domain. During her first day of meetings in Beijing, Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen criticized punitive measures the Chinese government has taken against American firms. I’ve made clear that the United States does not seek a wholesale separation of our economies. Ms. Yellen conveyed her objections to China’s top officials, including Premier Li Qiang, in what was the first visit to China by a Treasury secretary in four years. And they clearly had little interest in helping Mr. Putin avoid a major, embarrassing fracturing of his support. While it is not clear exactly when the United States first learned of the plot, intelligence officials conducted briefings on Wednesday with administration and defense officials. Placing Wagner forces under the control of Mr. Shoigu was “out of the question” for Mr. Prigozhin, Ms. Stanovaya said. But it was only in recent days that intelligence officials got the initial warnings that Mr. Prigozhin might take action. President Biden, speaking in October, talked of the dangers that Mr. Putin would pose if he felt cornered and said the United States was looking for “off ramps” for Mr. Putin.

Mr. Prigozhin accused the Russian military of attacking his forces, vowed to retaliate, on Friday. In an earlier videotaped speech, Mr. Prigozhin did not explicitly impugn Mr. Putin, instead casting him as a leader being misled by his officials. But, during the battle for Bakhmut, Mr. Prigozhin also emerged as a populist political figure, excoriating Russia’s military leadership for corruption. Russia’s claim of victory in Bakhmut suggests that the brutal urban combat that marked the deadliest battle of its war in Ukraine might be over. Those gains will allow Ukrainian troops to continue raining artillery on Russian forces trying to hold Bakhmut, according to Ukrainian officials. A battle on May 6 breached Russian lines south of the village of Ivanivske and forced Russian soldiers into a disorganized retreat. Image Ukrainian soldiers west of Bakhmut after rotating out of the city, this month. A Russian capture of Bakhmut “will mean nothing, actually,” predicted Colonel Serhiy Hrabsky, a commentator on the war for the Ukrainian news media.
